Amit Shah's Visit to Bastar: Devotion and Tribal Culture

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a tour of Chhattisgarh. He will travel to Jagdalpur from Raipur Airport at 11 am today. His first stop will be Bastar’s revered goddess Maa Danteshwari temple, where he will offer his prayers. After this, Shah will participate in the Bastar Pandum program. During this event, he will experience the local cuisine of Bastar for lunch. He is also expected to meet surrendered Naxalites and soldiers involved in encounters with Naxalites.

Importance of Shah’s Bastar Visit

There are discussions about Amit Shah meeting with the Sarpanchs of Naxal-affected villages to understand the situation in these areas. Additionally, Shah may make a significant announcement regarding the new surrender policy during the program in Dantewada. Amit Shah had arrived in Raipur on Friday evening, where he was warmly welcomed by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

Shah Welcomed in Bastariya Style

Amit Shah will arrive at the Police Line Karli helipad, from where he will travel to the Maa Danteshwari temple via a 4 km road. After visiting the temple, he will head to the Bastar Pandum program at the high school ground.

At the event, Shah will be welcomed in a traditional Bastariya style. The event will showcase the rich tribal culture, including food stalls, crafts, paintings, and the traditional musical instruments of Bastar.

Tight Security for Amit Shah’s Visit

Security arrangements for Amit Shah’s visit are robust, with around 2,000 to 3,000 jawans deployed at various locations, including the temple and the meeting venue. The dog squad team is also conducting searches in the area.

Special Arrangements for the Visit

VIP parking facilities and check posts have been set up, and a route chart has been released for Shah’s visit to Dantewada. People coming to the meeting place will follow the route towards Hospital Road via Gayatri Mandir Chowk, where barricading will be in place to guide vehicles.
