His son, Kunal Goswami, shared that Manoj Kumar had been ill for a few weeks and was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital. He passed away on Friday. His body was brought from the hospital to his residence at 9:30 am and then taken to Pawan Hans crematorium, where the last rites were completed.

Amitabh Bachchan attended the funeral with his son Abhishek Bachchan, while Dharmendra and Hema Malini also joined in offering their tributes. Hema Malini shared that she had the privilege of working with Manoj Kumar in films like Kranti, Sanyasi, Santosh, and Dus Numberi.
